SOCCER COACHING PHILOSOPY
Being a part of soccer is about being part of the most popular game in the world. It is about diversity, openness, inclusion, and creativity. It is about reaching back and helping younger players grow in the game that we all love.
I have been teaching, coaching, and mentoring children and adults for the past 30 years.
I am deeply committed to competitive soccer especially as it pertains to player development, coaching education, and building high-caliber soccer programs in the state of West Virginia. I believe it is vitally important to expand the international scope of soccer for the players in our region.
I have a universal passion for educating and training youth soccer players. The nexus between athletics and character development is the central focus of my coaching philosophy.
Fitness is the foundation for soccer play. Speed, endurance, strength and agility are of paramount importance. Regardless of experience, the continuing development of ball skills and tactical awareness at the individual and team levels is essential.
