Lady Stingers Win West Virginia State Championship
for the FOURTH Consecutive Year
From BECKLEY, WV - The West Virginia Lady Stingers Soccer Club claimed the 2011 West Virginia State Championship title, triumphing over the NCU Fury 2 to 1, on Sunday, May 22, 2011. This makes the fourth straight year that the Stingers have achieved this feat.
The Stingers Soccer Club would like to commemorate the life of Shasta Andrick (1989-2008) a great soccer player, but an even greater young woman. Her life was tragically ended in a fatal car accident, along with three other young women from Buckhannon-Upshur High School. Prayers are going out to the families and friends of these girls. She will always remain in our hearts. Shasta, you will be missed.
